The default vaccination status selection is 'Vaccines Up-to-Date'. The default date period is the the current week as of the 'data as of date' in the upper right corner. The default population selection is 'All of the above'. All demographics are defaulted to show all categories. 

Vaccination Statuses

• Vaccines Up-to-Date: Patients are considered up-to-date on their vaccinations if they have completed their initial series (single dose, two dose, three dose), and if eligible, they have completed at least 1 bivalent booster. If not yet eligible for a bivalent  booster (either because of age or timing since initial series completion), but the initial series is complete, the patient is still categorized as 'Vaccines Up-to-Date' as long as it has been 14 days since the completion of the series.
• Booster Overdue: Patients are considered overdue if they have completed their initial series and are eligible for a bivalent booster, but they have not received the bivalent booster. Note: denominator for this vaccination status is all patients in selected population, not just those that are eligible. If you would like to see the eligible denominator, hover over the booster overdue percent on the dashboard.
• No Vaccine Record: All patients who do not fit into the other categories. This may be because their vaccine series is incomplete, 14 days have not yet elapsed since their vaccine series completed, or because there are no COVID vaccination records in Apex for these patients. They may be unvaccinated, or UCSF may not have accurate external vaccination data for them.

Populations

• Primary Care 3YR: patients who are Primary Care empanneled at UCSF in the last 3 years prior to, and at least 5 years old for, each calendar date in the data set (1/31/2021 – present)
• Specialty Care: patients with at least two visits in a specialty department (non-primary care and non-covid testing or vaccination departments) in the 2 years  prior to, and at least 5 years old for, each calendar date in the data set (1/31/2021 – present)
• Adult Cancer Center: patients with at least two visits in the cancer center (UCSF adult cancer center departments) in the 2 years prior to, and at least 5 years old for, each calendar date in the data set (1/31/2021 – present)
• Inpatient: patients with at least 1 hospital inpatient encounter in the 2 years prior to, and at least 5 years old for, each calendar date in the data set (1/31/2021 – present)
• Primary or Specialty: a distinct combination of the populations for Specialty Care and Primary Care 3YR. This means that if patients are part of both populations on a given date, patient is only included once.
• All of the above: patients who meet any of the criteria for the populations defined above.
